Description

Heard about Kony 2012* and want to do something about it? Playing “Raise the Village” gives you a fun way to help people in Uganda who’ve been hurt by Joseph Kony and the LRA.

Change lives in a real African community as you build, grow and customize a virtual village on your own iDevice. The more you put into your game, the more you help the real village of Kapir Atiira that was attacked and raided by Joseph Kony's LRA.

You can create a new account or use Facebook to login. However, Facebook is NOT required to play.

Parents: have your kids play this instead of Smurfs!

This is an innovative idea for an app that has been executed brilliantly! I sincerely hope that more games in this genre will go in this direction.

Parents should really have their kids play this game. It teaches them about social responsibility, while being fun at the same time. And since they're going to blow your money any way on virtual items (really just a bunch of pixels) from games like Farmville and Smurfs' Village, why not have that money actually do some good and go to a community who can use it, instead of lining the pockets of companies who are purposely trying to market their game at your kids to take your money.

I wonder if Apple is taking their usual 30% cut from the in-app purchases.

Groovy!!

Heyy!! Great game guys!! I love how you've integrated fantasy game play with real life things. There's no other game out there like it so great job y'all!!!

WOW.

this is probably one of the coolest games ever. it takes all the simple fun of farmville and other city-simulators, and adds in the educational element that all of these games are missing. it actually lets you see what your buildings and actions look like in real life, in a real village in Uganda. teaching people, especially kids, about helping out developing nations is so important because most of the time, people have no idea what it's REALLY like.
this game is awesome, easy to play, and makes you feel good!
