Not working.
It let me purchase an hour of time, but once I tried to make a (local) call, I heard a recorded message that wasn't even understandable, then it hung up on me. I tried it both by choosing numbers from my contacts and by dialing on the keypad. It would help if at least the message was decipherable. I'll keep trying, and will change my rating when and if it ever works.
Works for me… and an explanation of how it works
First, this app does require that you purchase minutes to use. So add that to the cost of the app. At the time of this writing it is $2 for an hour, and $13 for 8 hours. BUT, most other call recording apps also charge a fee for minutes, and here's why: Apple does not allow app developers to just record the phone conversation. They don't open up the programming software that would allow them to do that. So these developers (for the most part) route your call through another call center where they can record it and allow your phone to view it, email it, save it or whatever. This means they have to pay for that call center. This is why you don't see many LEGAL free apps that do this service. Most require your phone to be jailbroken. In any case, I found it worked. The quality of the recording was just as good as the real thing (meaning if your call signal is crappy then the recording will sound crappy too). I used it to record some telemarketers who promised they were going to cancel my service and not auto-renew me. I was able to call back after they falsely charged me (they auto-renewed even though they said they wouldn't) and I told their manager I had a recording of the conversation. Needless to say the recording pretty much put an end to any arguments. Also, I can use this for any calls to my realtor or property managers just for official referencing of what was said. Lastly, remember, your call may still accidentally get dropped if your cell service drops it. But I don't think it has to do with this app. You're basically on three-way with their landline recording servers. But I'm admittedly less clear on that aspect. In any case, judge this app based on what it claims, not on what you expect. And read the description: it tells you there are added costs. Over all I liked it so far. Works just fine, and saved my butt. Five Star
NEVER Recommend
The minutes you need purchase are not available ... Sadly iTunes doesn't even know anything about buying minutes for this piece of crap app.
