*** Shake to make them angry. Stroke to make them sad. The future of their relationship is in your hands. ***
Experience a new kind of interactive storytelling with the critically-acclaimed Ruben & Lullaby, a digital comic/game (we call it an “opertoon”) that lets you shape the emotions of a quarreling couple with a touch.
Tilt left and right to advance the story as it unfolds through the faces of the characters, without words. Rub the screen to calm someone down, or shake the phone to make them angry—an interactive jazz score responds to your every movement.
You can try to keep them together, try to break them up, or just enjoy the music you can make out of their circumstances as they react to each other… and to you.
FEATURES:
- A story you play like a musical instrument
- Control the moods of the characters with touch and motion
- Dynamic jazz soundtrack you perform while playing
- Multiple endings
- Illustrations by graphic novelist Ezra Claytan Daniels
More praise for Ruben & Lullaby:

Falls short of the mark
I'm definitely an art gamer. I loved Braid, and Today I Die—I downloaded this game because I'm always interested in seeing what people can do when they stretch the boundaries of the medium. This game falls short though. I played it through three or four times, and it doesn't feel like I'm interacting with a story at all—it feels like I'm turning the pages of a book. If I shake the iPhone (to make them angry), all that happens is that the character frowns, the screen turns red, and a cymbal plays. If I stroke the screen (to make them happy), the character looks apologetic, the screen turns blue, and strings play. That's IT—there's no noticeable affect on what frames are shown, and the five possible endings are each only a single frame. I love the idea, and there may be more complicated stuff going on under the hood—but if I can't see the effects, it doesn't matter. You might as well just give me a coloring book.
So unique
Such a unique game...the art is fantastic, the causality of events is intriguing. I wish there were a part II to this. Really cool gaming experience...
