Out of the park
With the universal update IK have really brought us a spectacular app. I am just getting into the new features but hey have shown that they are serious about producing a very professional instrument for musicians on the go. I appreciate the additional instruments in this update as well.
Quick note. If you are using an Alesis iO Dock make sure you select dock profile B and it works like a charm.

Are u kiddin me,this thing is real. Just got it and it looks like an all nighter. No recording? No biggy, a million ways to work around it. With hand held multi track digital recorders down in price u can compete with the big boys on ur lap and on a budget. Sounds are superb and tweekable. Gota save for some extras but worth the cost. The combos are endless,thanks luv this app. GET IT!!! UPDATE! App will not work with iPad 2 using updated Alesis io dock. Keep getting annoying ads on full version, sound is very distorted and not useable. All other apps work so it s not the pad.
UDATE..... Had to eat humble pie after this upgrade, back to awesome .the sounds are fantastic and with midi bridge this thing rocks . Thank you for fixing the Alesis distortion problem
Good sounds, new instruments; latest version has audio recording
I bought the full version when it came out, along with several of the orchestral instrument packs. I was, and am, pleased with the sound quality. The new version adds several new instruments, which I appreciate, and also improves the interface for (a) drums in particular and (b) the iPad in general. But the best new feature, so far as I am concerned, is the audio recorder. It can't export to the audio pasteboard, but -- contrary to what I wrote here earlier -- you can email audio recordings to yourself. That's a big deal, because it means you can record a track on the iPad or iPod and combine it with sounds from a second or third app -- without hauling around extra gear. Thank you to freesoulvw, who pointed me in the right direction and corrected the error in my initial review.
