Description
The SAT Word Slam app uses rhyming poems, humor, and simple mnemonic memory clues to teach you HUNDREDS of critical SAT words.
And voice actors read the poems for you, so the power of audio makes the definitions stick even faster!
Most SAT vocabulary apps and books are just a bunch of flash cards and test questions. But FLASH CARDS are outdated (and they’re boring).
That’s just not teaching. And studying hundreds of vocabulary words by rote won’t help you remember the definitions for long.
But your memory will LOVE the rhyme, audio, and “Remember This” clues in the SAT Word Slam app. You’ll be amazed by how quickly you’ll learn the meanings of vocabulary words and how well you’ll remember them months and years from now.
"You feel enmity for your ENEMY."
"Prowess makes you feel PROUD."
"Expunge is to wipe away, as you do with a SPONGE."
"Bumptious people will BUMP you out of line."
These are "REMEMBER THIS" CLUES, and they REALLY work.
LOVE, school, DRAMA, prom, SURFING, movies, BREAK UPS, friendship, TELEVISION, music, FOOD, sports, FAMILIAR BOOKS, cars, TECHNOLOGY, sarcasm, irony, silliness, and CELEBRITY MOCKING---we use them all to help you remember meanings of vocabulary words.
The base app teaches 350 SAT words, and more sets of 350 will be available soon as in-app purchases. Watch for updates!
* Voice actors read short vocabulary poems for you.
* Proven-to-work “Remember This” clues make the definitions easy to remember.
* Take your time and learn—there’s no time limit.
* Design your own lessons by marking words “Easy” and “Difficult.”
* Thousands of test questions help you gauge your progress. And CHECK OUT THIS FEATURE: whenever you choose an incorrect answer, you can flip to the other side of the app to learn the word you should have chosen and then return to the test you were taking. That's teaching!
*** Obsequious. Misanthrope. Raconteur. Inane. Loquacious. Parsimony. ***
Yikes! What do they mean? Let us teach you these and hundreds more—fast.
The fastest way to increase your SAT score is to improve your vocabulary.
And the fastest way to improve your vocabulary is by using The SAT Word Slam.
(And have a few laughs while you’re at it.)

Easy Navigation, Simple, Very Funny,
IT'S. ABOUT. TIME.
I'm a junior and I have to learn a lot of SAT words, so this app is perfect fo rme.
I bought this app earlier today and I've been messing with it for three hours already. And these little memory clues are so smart, they make it really easy to remember a lot of words at once. I feel like it might have been written by comedians. There are all these little poems that crack you up and help you remember definitions. Actors say the poems for you and you can just listen if you want which is great because I'm totally lazy. I also like how its sarcastic and makes fun of people like celebrities
Easy navigation that's fast from one screen to another. . . really logical and nice simple graphics. Oh yeah, and you can check if a word is easy so you don't have to keep seeing easy words again and again--I read that on the info page. And you can mark if a word is hard.
I recommend this one for sure. I'm telling all my friends.
REALLY good app if you have to learn a lot of SAT word and don' t have a lot of time.
Made learning dry SAT vocab words hysterical!
I have a terrible memory. Therefore, I have a terrible vocabulary! The SAT Word Slam is the first app that has made it easy for me to learn - really learn - the words I need to know for the big exam. This app uses funny rhymes to help you remember the vocab words. And, if you click the button, you can hear the poems and reminders spoken by funny actors. This app works!
Best in Class!
This one is truly entertaining. All the others, like the Princeton Review, et al. are merely flashcards masquerading as an app. Cheers to Word Slam for its jocular wit. The voice actors add to it immensely, and the questions are written in a way that is memorable. The teaching uses audio and visual memory triggers by talking about the words in witty, interesting, and humorous ways. This app embarrasses its competitors in the field of SAT vocab by actually keeping you engaged with its charm.
