“SBB Mobile” is perfectly tailored to the needs of public transport users in Switzerland. Timetable enquiries can be made in real time and tickets can be purchased and displayed directly on your iPhone.
“SBB Mobile” works on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices and is available in English, German, French or Italian.
Timetable features
• Enter stations/stops, addresses and landmarks
• Retrieve start/destination from Contacts
• Urban, national and international timetables (as per SBB online timetable)
• Departure/arrival tables
• Real-time information in the event of an incident (delays, alternative connections, cancellations, platform alterations, rail traffic information and strikes)
• Intermediate stop display (route information)
• Start/destination can be viewed in maps
• GPS support (search for nearby stations/stops)
• “Take me Home” function
• Connections displayed can be saved to the device

Ticket features
• Purchase and display of tickets for public transport services within Switzerland.
• The offer includes single tickets, regional transport network tickets, 1-day travelpasses, class upgrades, etc.
• Ticket for accompanying passengers
• Payment is effected via credit card. To use the service, an initial one-time registration must be completed at the SBB Ticket Shop at www.rail.ch/ticketshop.

Great app
I used this app on a business trip and it worked great. I didn't purchase tickets on it because I had a Swiss rail pass (also great because it covered everything including boats). I travel around Basel and out to Berne, Lucerne, and Zurich with this app just doing a little preplanning. The main thing in switzerland is to find the trains last stop and for trams/buses make sure you are going in the right direction. Trams/buses have a lot of the same numbers just opposite directions. Would recommend.
Buggy
Good for certain things but very buggy otherwise. Purchasing tickets, especially for the ZVV network is a nightmare.
Keine Tickets nach Deutschland
Leider erlaubt das App nicht Tickets von der Schweiz nach Deutschland zu kaufen. Da ist heutzutage eigentlich sehr schade...
