Don't get latest update
Now the ads have sound and you can't turn it off until you close the ad. Incredibly annoying!
EA has a lot of work to do
Cons
• chat function lacks auto correct and all other standard typing features
• can't tell how much your opponent scores each previous move like in wwf
• no notification for chat messages
• in game chat notification blinks even when there's no new message
• obnoxious background has ripples that are distracting
• overall less polished app than wwf was years ago.
• ads play sound even when the phone is on silent
Pros
• you can see your score in real time as you place letters
• teacher button is kind of cool - lets you know the best move you could have done after your turn
• realistic dictionary prevents "made up words with friends" situations
I switched from wwf because of the dictionary and because I think zynga has ruined wwf. I'll stick to scrabble but won't buy until I see some significant improvements.

I play this on my iPhone 4S, iPod touch & on my NookColor! It's all the same game(s) and is so wonderfully portable and easy to play. Not to mention pleasant graphics. My only frustration is the dictionary sometimes doesn't contain a word (I.e.: queue) that IS a word, but it doesn't happen often. 😊
