So, what is the Shapium then?
Unfortunately, much about the Shapium remains shrouded in mystery. There are only two things known about the Shapium. First, the beings need to escape and second they must not ever touch one another. Once you enter the Shapium, you will experience a mind bending skill puzzle, which requires a keen eye and unwavering will to free the beings.
To excell at Shapium you need to track multiple moving objects at once - a skill that fighter pilots are famous for. Maybe you have some hidden skills as well...

Sometimes the simplest of ideas just work, if nurtured properly, and this game is a good example. All you do is match up the shapes to their corresponding slots. The types of shapes and the total number of shapes escalates as you move up in level. The spacing and direction of the shapes vary. It is multi-touch, so you can use as many fingers as you can manage to slide the shapes into place, but it is nowhere near as difficult as the original Eliss, for instance. If two shapes ever collide, the game ends abruptly. As simple as the artwork is, it really is detailed and different than most other games. The backgrounds vary every few levels and one of the little creatures pops up and says one of many intriguing phrases. That's about it, really, but it works.
Update: This developer, 10tons Ltd. went on to make quite a few more excellent games including, Boom Brigade, Azkend, and Dragon Portals, all of which are worth a look.
Oddly Addictive
This game has a very simple premise - match the shapes to their corresponding slots. The first screen has one or two shapes, and then it gets progressively harder. The caveat is that the shapes are drawn towards each other, but if they collide, the game is over. It's ridiculously simple, but addictive. As far as I can tell, nothing else happens, but it's a fun game to play.
