Description
Shared Expenses allows you manage the shared expenses of an arbitary number of events, and to quickly resolve how to split the expenses for an event.
The expenses from an arbitrary amount of receipts, can be split among an arbitrary number of people conviniently picked from the Contacts list, or entered manually. Optionally people can be exempted from an receipt, if the person should not share the cost.
The resolution of who owes who, and what amount, to share the expenses even is one tap away. And the resolution can be e-mailed to the participants with a single tap more.

no more keeping lists and receipts!
i traveled to israel last month with my sister and friend. we used this app for everything! it was quick and easy. it allowed us to keep track of all our purchases from dinner and car rental to gifts we bought for friends. the app allowed us to include everyone on the expense or exempt someone. for example i don't drink coffee so they split that charge. my sister doesn't eat ice cream, so my friend and i shared that one!! it didn't matter who paid or whose credit card we used, it was all settle with the push of a button. to inform people what they owed, i just took a picture of the "resolution" screen and emailed it to them. our only complaints....it would have been great if it had a currency converter and our vacation was too short!!
Great app... needs just a littie more!
Great app. I use it everytime I travel with friends. One thing lacking though, once all costs are resolved it sends out an email to all participants of the shared expenses... except that it mails only totals and not the underlying details. This can be a little frustrating if you want everyone to know all the costs that lead up to the total
Leaves you wanting for more...
There are definitely a few spots that need to be refined. Most importantly... the 'events' don't show updated # of receipts/people unless you relaunch the app.
A few suggested features you can include to enhance it:
1. Include 'groups' of people. [e.g.: Say we have 3 families with 2 members each in our people list. Not always are the expenses split by all 6. At times it can be 5 or 4. In your current version, the resolutions ends up showing that 1 member of the family owes the other. Defining 'groups' can avoid such a confusion.] I know quite a few others who use this app and all seem to be requesting this feature.
2. Include the receipts with the email that gets sent. [Just in case someone wants to cross check].
3. The receipt entry must include a field for DATE.
Apart from that, it's a great app. Will keep my fingers crossed for the next update.
