PLEASE NOTE: We are aware of an issue whereby users who previously had unlimited tagging get restricted to 5 tags per month. We just deployed a temporary solution and this limit has been lifted. We are also working on a permanent solution and we will release it shortly. Users who previously had unlimited tagging will continue with this capability.

A note to iPod touch users: Shazam needs to hear the music sample, which means using a microphone (on the iPhone it's built in, on the iPod touch you can attach an Apple Stereo Headset which has a small microphone capsule). Hold the mic towards the music source and Shazam will do the rest!

Downgrading an app and removing features is beyond lowly and super shady. Way to show appreciation for your first supporters.
Bait & Switch scam !
This update stated a bug fix which turned out to be 5 limit tagging per month restriction. Wow, that was lowwww !
Update: Just tried Soundhound and it's even better than Shazam ! They are upfront about their business model & have cool ways to earn extra tagging credits for free if you don't want to pay 4 app. Goodbye Shazam ! I'll keep this app on last page of my phone just to post my review every time they upgrade this p.o.s. app. Shazam will try to erase these negative reviews by submitting updates so they can start fresh. Everyone should check back every once in a while to update their reviews so we can boycott this company who basically spit on every loyal customer's face by not honoring the "grandfathered in" policy.
Crippled App
Update has crippled this app. Only 5 tags per month, what BS!!! if this is the direction the developers wanted to go they should have done so from the beginning. Now they are just screwing their fan base. Get Soundhound instead!
