Very flawed
While it beats the horrifying "touch" site that I sometimes (?) see when visiting Slate on my iPad, that's about it. The app ought to be the quickest route to new slate podcasts but it can't manage to play them for long in the background on my iPad or iPhone 4. They just stop and it's impossible on the iPhone and very hard on the iPad to seek to a position beyond the start.
Far from perfect
It's like Slate Magazine lite. Limited content. Difficult to find things. The audio does not work on the videos. Slate is a great on-line magazine, but the app does not do it justice. I'd rather just go to the website, where I can find more content and navigate more easily.
Can't email content
Nice interface, but no ability to email articles or content without logging into Facebook or twitter making it much less usable in my opinion.
