SnapSpot is a treasure-hunting game -- a way to hide and seek albums of photos anywhere on earth. There are already thousands and thousands of albums waiting to be found on every continent, and chances are that a few are right in your neighborhood.
SnapSpot uses your iPhone's GPS and cellular antenna to track your location as you hunt for albums. When you find one, see photos from everyone else who's been there, and leave your own photo for future visitors to see. Then choose a photo to keep as a memento in your own collection.

Do not purchase until bugs are fixed.
I purchased this based on the average review sporting a 4, but I must wonder if it's just me... I've deleted and reinstalled... it allows me to work the program up until the point I take a photo to add. THEN it crashes, dumping the photo. Not worth my $1. I've deleted it and will reinstall when that is fixed. I'm disappointed. I MUCH prefer Gowalla... they have their stuff together. I love these types of apps/games, and count on them to be user friendly... and WORK!
Great idea, great app, but crashes for me
Ok, I hate reading reviews where people trash the app just because they had a problem with it.
I love the app, the idea of a geocache type of concept, but with photos you took on the spot. So you can see previous people who were there, and then leave your own photo too. Within my small town I found several that were already present, but some of the more prominate local landmarks were missing. I thought I would add them and be the first photo. I can't get the photo upload to work without crashing to the iphone. I can create a new album (I love the idea of this feature), but when I add a new photo down goes the app and my new entry is lost too. :(
The entire app is a fantastic idea. Geocaching using photos, even my kids want this app to work so they can tell their friends to do the real world treasure hunt too!
