Surprisingly Well-Done
After reading all of the negative reviews for this game, I was incredibly hesitant about purchasing it. Luckily, I'm mostly happy with the iPhone adaption. I only have a few quibbling points.
First off, the "classic" Snoods aren't the originals! They're similar, true, but as a dedicated player of the computer version, I miss the old ones.
Second, the layouts on the Puzzle mode are very different from the originals. The new ones aren't as entertaining for me.
Overall, a good translation of the computer classic, and hopefully the next update will make the iPhone version more like the original. Thank you, EA!
Not worth it
I really enjoy snood on my computer, and this doesn't match up at all. The controls are poor, the graphics are too busy, and it isn't enjoyable. I usually attempt to play for a couple minutes before I quit the game out of frustration.
Bad instructions
I love games that kill time. I cannot even say I minimally like this one. The instructions on how to connect and live challenge are nearly nonexistent. What they do tell you is not consistent with what happens on screen prior to a challenge. My husband and I both got this based on the screenshot stating live interactive combat. We both logged in to facebook and attempted to follow the instructions. We could not get the game to start. It just kept stating that it was waiting for the opponent to respond. He is IT and I am a chemistry teacher so we have the intelligence and problem solving skills to overcome bad instructions but not when those instructions are coupled with bad programming and on screen messaging. Furthermore in attempting to get this to work the ap collected facebook data. Maybe that was its "live" options purpose all along. Overall I am very disappointed. I am glad I got this for $0.99. But even at that price point I feel I spent too much.
