Well-Executed Solitaire Game
It's solitaire, done very well. The games play as you would expect, and the controls are easy to understand and use. The images for the background, the cards--everything is designed with quality in mind. So many solitaire games, free and otherwise, have graphics which can turn you off. This app's design was obviously thought through. The colors are deep, but muted enough not to stand out; it just looks nice. But the attention to detail stands out in the animation; the cards move fast enough, but were slowed down enough to look smooth and good. The way the flash shows when you press a button on the main screen, and the way the cards curve as they move--this wasn't just slapped together. Someone put some good work into this. One of the best free games I've seen so far.
Nice simple solitaire for the iPhone
This is what the iPhone should've come with in the first place. The cards are simple and easy to read, the card turning animations are smooth, and the card movement (not really drag-and-drop) is intuitive with subtle animation. A well-done app.

The only thing I was really missing from my Palm Treo was Sol Free! I got the coolest phone on the planet, but MAN those other solitare apps were missing features (yes, even the ones I had to pay for!) Now I can play the Klondike I love, know my stats, and undo with one click. Thank you Smallware for bringing the best Solitare to the iPhone. Perhaps the next update with give back drag & drop, but still gets 5 stars from me!
