REQUIREMENTS
Songbird Remote requires iPod touch or iPhone to be on same wifi network as computer running Songbird.
The Songbird Remote add-on must also be installed in Songbird on the computer you wish to control. You can obtain this extension from within Songbird itself at

Obtrusive banner ads (for PAY version)
This app now has banner ads that follow you around the screen in the pay version. Wow, do I feel ripped off. When I upgraded from free to pro I believe it said 'no banner ads.'
Otherwise, it's a little tricky to get working, make sure you have bonjour installed before you install the add-on or it'll be screwed up and you'll need to uninstall/reinstall all.

- when I click on a song, I want it to PLAY, no priority play/add to queue garbage
is this supposed to work with Mac products?
God I'm in hell. First, to be clear it is not an iPad app so you start with the tiny screen within a screen until you blow the iPhone screen up creating pixels. Yuk.
Then you try and find the Songbird Playlists which on the Songbird computer software sits at the top separate from my endless iTunes Playlists which were automatically imported when I installed Songbird for Mac so I could play hires .FLAC files. Within this iPhone app all the Playlists are combined so I have to search through a hundred playlists to find my newly made ones. Then if you try and go straight to the Songbird Playlist directly using the A,B,C,D shortcuts on the right the top starts with B, then below that T, then E. I don't get it, was this made by PC people? Yuk.
Then I play a song and this stupid iPhone app not only has annoying adverts as mentioned by also a scrolling slideshow from the band from which you're playing on the iPhone screen. I DON'T NEED TO LOOK AT THESE PEOPLE PEOPLE PERFORMING AND THEIR FANS AND THEIR DOGS IN THE AUDIENCE. I just want to turn off the television and radio then chill and play some amazing music in a darkened room. Can this not be a remote control for Songbird? Yuk.
Then when I was playing a song I tried to fast forward scroll with my finger tip over the moving timeline to say the middle of the song but after I moved the cursor, the location in the timeline, the music stopped and never re-started. Then the app froze until it was closed. These are not advanced operations I am asking it to preform, just basic stuff.
Yuk yuk yuk, was really wanting this to work. Keep the $4, I'll make more.
