Customer Reviews
Money very well spent.
This is an excellant stellar map for amature astronomers, to professionals, of for just some good backyard star gazing. It will show you just about anything you want to see from constellations, to planets, and deep sky objects (meisser catalong) Further more, it is the only app I've found that will point out all the meteor showers throughout the year whether it's only 2 an hour or 120. This app is so easy and quick to use, anybody can feel like an observatory level astronomer. I would suggest to the developers to possibly include in app wiki links to various objects for further learning. I've always been a savvy amature astonomer, but this app has greatly expanded my knowledge of the heaven and the gems with in.
Update!!!
3 cuz after paying the money they haven't even updated the graphics for the iPhone 4
Still My Favorite App...
I was hesitant at buying Starmap because of the price, especially with other star programs out there that are less expensive. After having it and using it for almost a year, I've got to say it's still my favorite app by far. I still find myself sitting outside at night looking at the sky and using Starmap to locate stars and constellations. It's very user-friendly and although there are so many ways to personalize the settings (which is fun, too), it's just as easy to download it and use the default settings. You'll never get tired of it, and neither will the friends you show it to!
