Teacher's Assistant Pro allows teachers to keep track of student actions, behavior, infractions, and achievements in the classroom. Communicate quickly and easily with parents and your administration by documenting student classroom habits and behaviors and sending reports via email or making a call right from your iPhone. The app is used by thousands of teachers across the world.
Enter or import (CSV file template included) a student's name, class period, phone numbers, and email addresses, then add infractions/accolades either at the end of the day, or as they occur. You can customize the app in so many ways! Teacher's Assistant Pro collects the data you enter, and when you're ready to contact the parent or have a conference, you have all the data you need right in your hands. The app stores the name of the infraction/accolade, the date and time, where it occurred, which class period, a detailed description, what teacher action was issued (and if it was served), and whether the parent had been notified. There's even an "Optional" space to track any other information about the student's actions. Keep in mind this can be done for as many students as you need. Actions can be sent via email. Each of the categories can be re-named to suit your individual classroom needs. You can even hide fields you don't need and add your own customized fields if you like.

Awesome App!
This is a fantastic app! I have used it all year with my class. It has helped me get undone homework finished. It has helped me to have data to show at conferences. It is super easy to use and it has so many features! It is definitely an asset to a busy teacher!
An EXCELLENT App for Classroom Management
Completing my third year teaching high school, this app is PERFECT for documenting misbehavior and poor academic performance. Creating a sticky note to remind myself to call parents after school AFTER the behavior occurred taps into my personal time, and parents seem less concerned about correcting the problem after-the-fact. Also, students don't take the traditional method as serious because they feel they can beat me to their parents to explain their side to avoid harsh punishments. Well, this app brings an end to such unnecessary drama. I am able to notify parents immediately when the incident occurs, and having the document stamped with the date and time provides the validity administrators need for their records. I also use this app to CORRECT PARENTS' MISBEHAVIOR ALSO to remind them of the consequences and school policies when they text or call their students during class. If you use this app correctly, you will hold both parent and student responsible for correcting the misbehaviors and low academic grades immediately. You are saving trees, preventing aching muscles when toting paperwork home, and reducing your cell phone usage minutes when keeping parents informed of their child's progress.
The price for this app is worth the investment. Having to print an anecdotal form on card stock in addition to the cost of toner and cell phone minutes, I have paid for this app multiple times when recording both misbehavior and poor academic performance the traditional way. Having to file such document is a problem, because I found myself flipping through cards while explaining multiple infractions to both parents and administration. The color-coded system in this app provides an illustrated method to quickly identify serious infractions to reduce the amount of time relaying such information to the parents.
Respect is earned when you are an effective teacher, and such app will take you to the next level when building a relationship with parents and students.
APPS aren't a cure for "the stupids"
The poor reviews all seem to have to do with crashing and losing data. Here's the thing: even the fanciest computers crash. You have to back up your data. Often. This developer has offered multiple ways to do this, so there's no excuse. Would you accept this from a student? "teacher, I don't have my paper cuz my computer crashed and I didn't save it". =}
I (and several of my administrator co-horts) have been using this APP for several months, now. It is the single, most easy to use interface and intuitive APP we've found. Trust me... we were about to create our own! We can email documentation directly from the APP to board members, teachers, parents or ALL of the above. We imported all students & teachers' info from our gmail, including photos.
The developer ALWAYS gets back to us regarding any minor glitches and will even check in to see if our problems have resolved. Unheard of! We are about to purchase 20 iPads & will install this APP on all of them.
