Customer Reviews
Best News App
Definitely the best news app I have. I love the general setup and the stories are top notch.
Best news app
Very good selection of news. Great layout, and works flawlessly. The number one news app on my device. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Dismal
It's true: ads have ruined this app. Nobody can read while rotating banners spin away stupidly at the bottom of the screen.
What were they thinking? In short, this: the Guardian is running out of capital, as you can read with a simple Google search. It's a bad time for journalism, of course, but maybe it isn't the cleverest digital strategy in the world to make your flagship app hideously unusable.
Why not simply charge a fee to get rid of the ads? Until that happens, I'm deleting the app and going back to the web browser; there, at least, it's possible to read the news without distraction.
