Great Adventure, Excellent Graphics
I have been enthralled by this game since I downloaded it. This game is that amazing. The immersive graphics and sound make for a very rich experience. I never expected the journey to the pit of Hell to be so fun!
*Gameplay*
This game is completely original and I have never seen or heard about anything like it. The best way I can describe this game is as similar to Mario Galaxy done from the top down with different character movement mechanics. There are literally a ton of levels ranging from action to puzzle, designed brilliantly throughout the journey.
*Controls*
I was skeptical about the controls at first, because touch screen and directional pads have a tendency to not mix so well. However, the devs for this game did something totally different with the controls and I am pleased to say that the controls are very responsive and easy to use.
*Graphics*
The graphics in this game are amazing. The level environments are lush down to the finest detail; the devs made sure to add even bits of glowing ember to the most basic fireball enemy. In short, this is why 2d art in games will never go out of style.
*Sound*
I've never been much of a sound guy, but it's hard not to notice the symphony quality music track featured on each circle of hell. There are crisp, clear sound effects for just about everything you can do in the game. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
*Conclusion*
This game is on a completely different level than any of the games in the top 100 games on the AppStore. If you're tired of Mafia Wars clones, ports of old games you've grown tired of, and watered down franchises, and want an amazing PSP quality adventure, get this game immediately!
This is how iPhone games should be...
I've had more fun playing this game in the last 10 minutes than the last 20 games I've downloaded combined. The amount of TLC the developers put into this one is obvious. The gameplay is simple and responsive, and the artwork has an amazing hand-painted look. The levels are addictive and more challenging. I have nothing but great things to say about this game. I would love to see a multiplayer feature added eventually, but I've still got 70+ levels to beat already! I want more!
I'm addicted!!!
This game is one of the best I have played on the App Store! I have been playing non-stop since it's release this morning, only pulling myself away to write this review. I wanted to make sure everyone realizes how great this game is! =]
There goes my whole weekend!
