I'm not sure which Dr. Suess you read as a child, but most of them have meaning and life-lessons. Your use of the word "agenda" suggests that you disagree with the simple, thoughtful, message here, which is a pity. This book was written at a time when we did absolutely nothing to reforest and we used natural resources with abandon. Its story has great meaning in the modern age. I'm sorry to hear that your daughter will be raised in a home where ignorance is preferred over learning. Good luck with that.
