Description

TimeTracker helps you keep track of your time everywhere and everytime right on your iPhone™ or iPod touch™. It is a powerful yet easy to use application for everyone who wants to see how much time is spent on certain tasks and projects. It contains a rich set of features like organization of tasks into projects, filtering tasks by time frames, exporting the tracked data via email, and many more.

To see TimeTracker in action please watch the video on the product website.

● Tasks
Tasks represent the things you are working on. With a single tap you start and stop them. It is possible to track multiple tasks at the same time. You can always see how much time you spent on a certain task.

● Projects
Tasks can be organized in projects. TimeTracker provides the area "Single Tasks" for all tasks which do not belong to a certain project.

● Quick Start
The fastet way to start tracking your time is by tapping the "Quick Start" button on the main screen. Decide what to do with the task when you stop it.

● Overview
You can always view your tasks by project or all tasks at once. The total time is always summed up according to the displayed tasks and shown in the toolbar.

● Export
The data you have collected over time can be exported as a CSV file via email. You can narrow the data by applying the Time Filter before exporting the data.

● Time Filter
The Time Filter allows you to narrow the lists of tasks or invocations to a certain time frame, e.g. today or last week. The total time is updated accordingly.

● History
Time Tracker saves each and every invocation of a task. The History lists these invocations by day and offers you to create, edit and delete them.

Crashes

There are a lot of things i like about this program. The quick start element for example is intuitive and works well. However it is difficult to change or add tasks once they are completed. For example, if i have a client meeting that has already finished, and i forgot to start it with Quick Start, and try to add it later, it is difficult. Same with changing a start time (for example if you started a task late and want to revise it). Once yo do get to the area to change the time, it may crash. If you try to delete a task the program will MORE often (about 5 of 10 times) completely crash. This renders it unstable and to me, unusable.

Love it

Would love more if it had pie charts for time spent in each category. And notes, as has been mentioned.

Needs more flexibility!!!

I very seldom spend more than $1.99 for any app unless it is one that will be very productive for me and will offer several options. So, to spend the extra money, I felt that this app should be perfect for my needs, based on your descriptions. BUT I soon realized that the one very important function I needed was not possible with Time Tracker. Despite the wonderful elements built into this app, the ONE THING MISSING WAS THE ABILITY TO RETURN TO PAST TASKS AND EDIT THEM!!! Often, I forget to turn a task timer on at the right time, or forget to turn the timer off after finishing a task. Unless there is something I missed, I am unable to go back to a specific "time frame" and make adjustments to the "time accumulated" either to remove some time or add time that I forgot to start in the first place. I would give this app 5 stars if I could EDIT THE TIME INCURRED BY EITHER INCREASING OR DECREASING IT depending on my needs. I have spent too much money on a program that basically records time, with no opportunity to edit or make corrections to the "time spent" feature. I could have done that by hand if that all this app does is record time. PLEASE MAKE TIME TRACKER MORE FLEXIBLE OR I WILL HAVE TO RELUCTANTLY FIND ANOTHER APP THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO EDIT TIME SPENT ON PAST TASKS!!! In my previous profession, I have used "Time & Billing" apps that offered this feature and many more. I thought Time Tracker would at least offer the basics; but it is hard for me to believe that there is no "Edit" option to change the actual time incurred if I need to correct my mistakes or just make changes to the time.
