Description
Tippety Split is a unique and easy to use tip calculator. From the moment you launch the application, Tippety Split is ready to work for you! Simply start typing numbers on the large, easy-to-read number pad, and Tippety Split instantly calculates three configurable tip percentages to two decimal places. In addition, Tippety Split presents you with one or two values rounded to a whole denomination amount and displays the corresponding tip percentage for each of these whole amounts.
To exclude a meal tax, simply enter the amount of tax into the Tax field. Tippety Split will subtract the tax amount from the total before calculating the tip values.
If there is more than one person with which to split the amount, simply enter the number of people and Tippety Split shows you the amount to be contributed by every member of your party, including the very convenient whole-denomination amounts.

What's New in Version 1.1
Version 1.1 is here! We have added a new tax field for excluding the tax amount from the tip calculation. Simply enter the amount of tax (not the tax rate) and Tippety Split will subtract that amount from the total before calculating tip amounts. Note, the auto rounded tip amounts (in green) will still provide totals in whole denomination amounts. If you like to include the tax in tip calculations, simply leave the tax amount at zero.
We have also added a configuration page (click the Info button in the top right corner) where you can customize the three standard tip percentages. These will be remembered and used each time you run Tippety Split. You can even change these settings in the middle of calculating a tip! All tips are automatically updated when you return to the main view.

Easy and the best I've tried
The best that I've tried. It comes up with the keyboard ready to enter the "Total Amount" of the check and then the "Tax" amount if you want to exclude that from the tip. If you are splitting the check with others, just enter the number in the "Split By". That's all there is to it, very easy.
Version 1.1 gets another star
I love the new feature that allows us to include/exclude tax. (My organization reimburses 15% of the pretax total, so this will help when I'm filling out expense reports.) I also like the new settings page, where we can set our own percentages. When I first upgraded I had a problem with the app closing after about 3 seconds. Manta Ray was very responsive and quickly provided a resolution to the problem (uninstall, turn the iPod off entirely and then reinstall). I'm very impressed that they listen to their customers suggestions and that they provide such quick support. This is the best tip utility out there - very easy to use. I highly recommend.
