Don't update. Traffic is still broken
While settings seems to have been fixed, traffic is still broken. Traffic information is downloaded, but you can't see where it is on the traffic strip, just reads "Updating traffic" indefinitely.
Disappointed
1. I was misguided using addresses from my contacts on three occasions. I got to the right street, but completely wrong number. Miles away. It works well going through Tom Tom Google search, but not using my preset contact list. Prior updates worked fine from my list of contacts. Please correct this glitch.
2. Tom Tom's customer service is terrible at practically reconciling issues. The customer is significantly burdened to prove one's point. The effort I had to go through to get minor issues reconciled with this company makes a relationship with them very unpleasant, and gives me a desire to pursue another navigation company.
Still doesnt work at all with iPhone 3GS and car kit
Come on Tom Tom, get your act together! One more update and I still can't get a GPS lock with Tom Tom v1.4.1 and iPhone iOS4 running on an iPhone 3GS with the Tom Tom car kit.
Who cares if it works or not with iPhone4--most of your installed customer base has a 3GS or earlier. How about fixing your existing customers before you worry about those you don't have yet?
v1.4 review 6/2/10:
This was working fine before the recent updates to Tom Tom and iPhone, but now with Tom Tom v1.4 and iPhone iOS4 running on an iPhone 3GS with the Tom Tom car kit, I can not get a GPS lock at all. I'd also be unhappy that the update erased all my favorites, except that is a moot point given I wouldn't be able to use them anyway without any GPS.
