Fantastic Translator, Could Use Some Tweaks
Overall, this is one of the better translators I've found. I was very hesitant about getting a translator with a voice feature, because I read the bad reviews for the other voice translator. However, this one works quite well.
It could use some tweaks, and I'm going to include the e-mail that I sent the developers here:
First off, I just downloaded your app. I was comparing them to several other ones, and ended up choosing yours. I enjoy it overall, but have a few suggestions. These relate to the iPhone resolution, as I have not had a chance to install on my iPad yet.
1. On the language to language selection screen, make the language selection take up the entire screen and drop the world background. With the limited amount of screen space, it is pointless to have the picture, as it does nothing.
2. Add a button for "Last Translation" so I can either tap the English entry, or tap the translation, and opt to translate it to another language. If I enter a long phrase, I have to copy it BEFORE I translate it, otherwise, I cannot retranslate it to another language.
This would be very helpful if I enter in a phrase and translate it, then realize that I translated it to the wrong language.
3. On the actual translation page, allow a swipe to delete. It would be much easier to actually be able to swipe and delete specific ones, instead of having to tap on each one, and then another tap to delete.
4. Allow me to select and delete specific ones. I plan on taking a French class this year, and can imagine that there will be several phrases that I'll have a one time use for, but other ones that I will want to keep on screen. Being able to multi pick (like the Mail App) translations that I want to delete will be very helpful in this aspect.
