Customer Reviews
Needs voice recognition
The app is fast, accurate and looks good, but I wish it had a few features to make it more usable:
1. Voice recognition - at least for English. I read there is an opensource library called OpenEars.
2. Double tapping on the translation to voice it.
3. More languages for text-to-speach. Bulgarian, Hebrew, Ukranian for example are missing. SpeachLab 2.0 is great a text-to-speach library for Bulgarian.
Voice is too fast and hard to understand
The big reason I purchased this app was for the voice feature. The translator repeats my translations way too fast and in result he's too hard to understand. Too bad. For when I travel I was hoping to simply type in my message and have it translated for someone else to hear in their native language just like a recent commercial I saw.
I just downloaded Google Translator for FREE and it totally rocks!!! Save your money. Google translator also has voice recognition.
No Communication With Userbase
People need to understand that the majority of translation applications out there use(d) Google Translators API unaccredited. Which has recently shifted from a free to pay per use service.
At the same time the developers need to commit to a solution and be more forward with issues regarding their software.
I really liked the interface of this particular translator and I am hoping to see a solution to this interruption in the near future.
