Not worth the fee
Trip it works well, but don't let then swindle you into trip it pro. Other aps have the same functionality for free.
There are better ones
I travel a fair bit and started using the "Travel Tracker" app. It has one key feature: I can assemble my expenses, take a photo of the receipt, and send an email automatically for reimbursement. TravTracker has Tripit 'imbedded' in it so I decided to pay for the app. $3.99 gets a limited app; much of the useful stuff requires a far more expensive "Pro" version. $3.99 basically allows you to record your flight information. It does not, for example, take the airline's confirmation # and automatically fill in the flight info, it does not show alternative flights (in case I get to the airport early), etc. This stuff is standard fare in "TripCase", a better thought-out app. Basically, I'm at a loss as to what TripIt does that Travel Tracker doesn't already do. I can only conclude that the strong reviews are from people who have not tried the alternatives.
Tripit is a bust
I bought Tripit Pro because it advertised that it monitored flights and would inform you of delays & cancellations. I've recently experienced a rash of both and Tripit proved absolutely worthless in notifying me of either. In each and every case it showed my flights were on time and connections were good until just before (or in some cases well after) the flight was to have left. In two cases, three hours after the airline called me to tell me my flights had been cancelled, Tripit still showed them as being on-time.
Don't buy this product - it's a complete bust! And to top it off, they refuse to refund my money!
