Excellent personal wiki!
A friend of mine recommended this app. I'm very glad I got it. Very good tool to use for studying. Easy to link related entries. Easy index to pull up topics. This one has earned a permanent spot on my IPad.
Just what I needed
I'm a game designer who needs the ability to create complex note structures and simulate game menus. This works perfectly and has great features! I'm now off to the races!
Better for notes than other wikis.
I'm using Trunk Notes to outline stories, hold research, keep track of a to-do list, and a heap more. Bear in mind that some experience with how wikis work, or a willingness to learn how to best use the format, is probably the only barrier to entry for this app.
I've installed and tried DokuWiki, MediaWiki, WackoWiki, WikkaWiki, and a few others on my server for note taking use. They either were a pain to setup or the feature set didn't quite match what I wanted: an easy way to use a wiki-like structure to take notes.
For ease of use/installation and applicability to my intended purpose, Trunk Notes is better than the others. My only wish: a desktop client.
