Great purchase - Captain, USA
Don't let the naysayers sway you from buying this app - I'm an active duty Army guy and use this constantly. Bottom line: Great app!
Good App, almost great..
App contains some pretty handy info (references, VA's, bases, news links, & pay tables). I double checked the accuracy of the pay tables with DFAS and it seems to be correct (at least for Army AD and Res components). The equipment info is entertaining but is of little value. An APFT calculator would have been a better tab. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied w/ the long overdue update. It's probably worth $10. If it had the APFT calculator it definitely would be.
Update Needed
This was one of the first apps I bought back in 2009 and used it a lot. Updates were always late. The latest update was about five steps backwards. If you are a dentist then you will like the pay info. Newest update has A LOT of pictures of ship, planes, and vehicles. Takes up more data... Useless... I already know what plane I fly in and do not care what Army vehicles look like. Get rid of that stuff. This would have been okay if it was $0.99.
