Description
Phone calls, e-mail, text messages, even instant messaging – the iPhone is your nearly perfect "keep in touch" machine. Nearly, that is, except for one thing – the ability to send contact information to someone else. iPhones just can't do it. That is, until now.
vCard Mailer is an application for your iPhone or iPod touch that lets you send contacts from your address book to any device with the ability to read vCards (including PCs, Macs, iPhones, and many mobile phones). Just choose a contact, type in or select a destination e-mail address, press Send and ... that's it.
An e-mail will be sent with the selected vCard attached. All the recipient needs to do is open it, review it and add it to their own address book.

Not exactly what we were hoping for
The description of this app is somewhat misleading. We were hoping for an app that would let us select certain fields for an Address Book contact and then turn those fields into a vCard that we could email. Instead, this app forces you to choose "groups of fields" only. For example, you can choose to send "work fields", which includes ALL work fields: work address, work email, and work phone number. Likewise, you can choose "custom fields", which includes ALL of your custom fields. You simply can't pick and choose the individual fields that you want, which makes this program only marginally better than the functionality of the built-in address book. We're not sure why the developer didn't just go all the way with this app and simply let us choose the indvidual fields that we want to include in a vCard.
I can't get this to work!
This program worked when I first purchased it Now, it just doesn't work. Each time I send a vCard, I get the following message:
"This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program. multipart/mixed"
The program is probably over due for an update.
Needs work not worth the money yet
Much needed app but needs a lot of work.
- Need to be able to SMS contact info.
- Need to be able to setup signature and your email address. It's annoying that I have to enter it each time you send a contact.
- GUI needs work looks cheap. Think about adding some color to the home page icon.
- find a better photo icon. Most contacts don't have a picture users will see this icon a lot make it look better.
