* The letters "I", "O" and "Q" never appear in a VIN.
* The VIN must be exactly 17 characters in length.
* The VIN must be from a car or light truck manufactured for the North American market since 1981.

I was definately curious, but as normal whats proposed free actually has a price on it. I typed in the vin of my own vehicle and it stated my car wasn't a lemon LOL but to find out more I had to purchase a report
