Excellent play--I love being able to play humans
I'm not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about. This is currently the least expensive Chess game for the iPhone, and the ONLY one that allows you to play other people in real time! It's only been out for a few days, and I can already usually find an opponent right away. I've never liked playing against bots, because they're always either too hard or too easy. Playing against real people makes the game so much more satisfying. If you've ever played Lux, you know what I mean.
Chess anywhere
This app let's me play chess while taking a dump. 5/5
Very good chess app!
I am an avid chess player, and this is truly the best chess app to date.
A good chess app, to me, gives you the ability to play online against opponents from all over the world. Without that feature, the game isn't worth it. This has that.
A good chess app also has very clear graphics. You must be able to easily distinguish the pieces. Too many apps overdo the graphics, and for the small screen of an iPhone, sometimes less is more. That said, these graphics are sharp, and visually pleasing.
Some things could be better:
1) The computer opponents are way to good and fast. It is nearly impossible to beat them. More varied computer skill levels would be a welcome addition.
2) It would be cool for there to be ongoing personal statistics that could be saved and viewed.
Overall, this game is very good because it doesn't try to do too much. The game times are a fixed, ideal length. There is no chat to distract you. The game is clean looking, not overdone.
I highly recommend this chess app.
