Makes iMovie trailers look professional
Okay, so this is a stock video footage app just like say Getty images or shutterstock only videos work on your ipad or iphone and are allot cheaper. Works as it should and ticks all the boxes for me but i am a professional film maker so i can see its not for everyone.
Exactly what it says it is, and with an excellent interface
UPDATED REVIEW: Video Clips remains a fantastic source for stock footage at unbelievably reasonable prices. With this update, I can get up to 1080p stock footage easily and for a smoking-hot price. I can use it on my iPad and iPhone, and use it on my Mac (or a PC if I had one) in the editing app of my choice. This is a super convenient way to get footage that I otherwise would not be able to.
The new footage added with this update is very useful, and I can't wait to see what new footage comes with the next update.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This app is for licensing stock footage for use in your own personal or commercial videos. Yes, you have to pay a licensing fee, but the fee schedule they have is more than reasonable. Looking for an aerial shot of San Francisco? This app has it. Looking for a gorgeous time lapse shot of LA traffic? Here it is. Mograph backgrounds? Check. The app makes it super easy and affordable to get top-notch stock footage onto your iDevice or computer to edit in iMovie, Avid Studio, Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, or any number of other video applications.
By way of comparison, to license a gorgeous HD aerial of San Francisco from Artbeats (an industry stalwart of stock footage) you'd pay around two hundred dollars per clip. The rate for an equally gorgeous shot in this app is thirty bucks. (And they have been known to run special pricing, as well, so keep your eyes open!) Don't need high def? They have lower definition versions of the clips for lower prices, too. The license in VIDEO CLiPS is quite reasonable and the price is impossible to beat. Plus the convenience of browsing, selecting, and downloading is fantastic.
If you're doing high-quality video production on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch or desktop/laptop computer, and need some video you can't get on your own, this app is fantastic.
Expensive 3 Sec Video
I purchased a $9.99 app believing that you get to have access to their library of 3 sec videos only to find out that the $9.99 I paid for only let u access the same 3 sec video over and over. Quite expensive I could buy an entire movie for that price... Very ridiculous!!! I don't recommend this app
