Description
Virtual Synth is an experimental synthesizer for your iPhone/iPod touch. You can generate sine tones and square waves from a wide range of frequencies. Experiment with different grid positions to generate modulating signals with different beat frequencies. A minimal control interface and engaging graphics make it a lot more fun to use.
Interface:
Touch to create an instrument anywhere on the grid. The numerical labels display frequency values. You can select a different instrument/frequency and tap on an existing instrument to change it. The beat frequency for modulating waves increases diagonally. Tap with two fingers at any time to remove all instruments.
Controls:
X: to show/hide frequency labels.
+/-: to toggle adding or removing instruments.
F: to show/hide slider display to change frequency range.
Every time you move the slider the grid updates with a new range of available frequencies. Making it convenient to have instruments of a wide range of frequencies playing at the same time. After adding an instrument the frequency label doesn't change unless you remove it or replace it with another instrument.
sin: to add a sine tone.
mod: to add a modulating signal.
sqr: to add a square wave.
