Note: Your device must be connected to the Internet for the initial one-time creation of a speed dial icon. However, no personal data (contact name, phone number, etc.) is ever transmitted or stored on our servers.
If you're dialing a contact via a speed dial icon no connection is required at all. Everything works offline!
Technical Backgrounder:
We've applied a couple of clever tricks to make Visual Dial's functionality available. When you tap one of your personally styled Home Screen icons Mobile Safari opens an offline copy of a special Visual Dial page (no Internet connection required, no data transmitted!). Mobile Safari then instructs Visual Dial to place the call. This process takes a few seconds. We're not saying that Visual Dial is the FASTEST dialer on earth - but it's definitely the coolest!

- Fixed a minor issue with Visual Dial returning to the Home Screen right after starting the application.

I think it's great! Maybe slow, but the next best thing to voice dial. Great effort! I use it all the time.
Permission to call - yuck!
This app asks me for permission to call the number... what a joke. The whole point of a one tap dial is ruined. It's now a tap, a question, and a tap. I'm not impressed.
Awesome!
People don't understand that Apple doesn't want any coding the might circumvent the operation of their proprietary operation. I say this is a good app but the lag time is Apple's fault not this programers. I put the person I call the most on the bar at the bottom, that way they are a click away!
