Soothing and substantive
Like any good devotional, the short audio pieces provided on this app offer perspective and a chance to reflect on the events of your day in light of the "bigger picture" happening in the lives of others all around you. I particularly like that many of the pieces I've heard so far have been read by missionaries in far-flung locales from where I live. They use Biblical teaching as well as life stories to make a point. The "voices of the faithful" that appear here are eloquent and timely, and the tone of delivery is soothing and respectful.
Each days devotional leaves me yearning for more
I loved this application from the moment that I began listening to it. In fact, so much so, that I've backtracked using the feature available to listen to some of the earlier devotionals. Each one is rich with insight and I have enjoyed using the email feature to share the mp3s with others.
Using Scripture, and real life stories from missionaries around the world, Voices of the Faithful Vol. 1 brings a slice of sacrifical living to the listener. Each days entry is thought-provoking and applicable stirring the listener to be mindful of their blessings and more active in their faith.
As a long time daily devotional reader I find this app to be fresh and stirring and therefore highly recommend it.
