Great game
I pretty much spent a whole day playing it. It's very addictive once you really get the hang of it.
A worthy game with lots of potential
This game is worth building on and expanding. 5 stars if these 2 features are added:
1) Where are my ships? Please add a summary screen which lists each of my countries and what is currently occupied in them, what upgrades currently exist, and what they are currently producing.
2) Too much micromanagement. It's great that each of my countries produces free units but it's a real pain to select each one to move their units to the front lines. Please add a way to allow me to select a country for the newly produced units to automatically move to after an appropriate number of turns (some games call this vectoring). Even if infantry can't cross water it would still be convenient to have them move somewhere on the continent so I know where to send the ships to pick them up.
I'm looking forward to the next rev where this game a little less tedious.
Great potential
Huge bonus for using simultaneous turns. Simultaneous turns make for much more interesting strategy games. However, some other elements seem a little loose, such as the random-feeling country bonuses and the fiddley handling of force movement. I think the game designer has great ideas and I'll be watching for the future.
