Joe Castello is the host and does radio the same way he drives, WFO! An avid drag racer, Joe uses his radio gig to get seat time behind the wheel of anything he can. Native of South Florida, Joe blasted the XM Satellite Radio airwaves for 5 years with shows "Wide Open on NASCAR Radio" and "Power Shift" before moving to RaceTalkRadio.com with "Joe Castello's WFO". Now Joe has launched his own site WFORadio.com
WFORadio.com will continue the trend, first launched in South Florida over 10 years ago, of total motor sports coverage along with a healthy dose of the OEM automotive industry. Joe believes that racing fans are all the same no matter what shape the cars are. As long as they are fast and fun, racing is racing.
Joe has been involved in the racing scene for most of his life. Growing up as a spectator and young driver at Miami-Hollywood Speedway, the local neighborhood drag strip, he was offered the position of race announcer at age 15. Joe used the opportunity to hone his skills both behind the microphone and the wheel of his race car. His racing career produced a track championship in 1995, something he is still very proud of. In 1996, he was hired at Miami's #1 sports radio station where he developed the area's most popular motor sports talk show before moving to XM in 2004. Joe has made laps in everything from go-carts and stock cars, to an Indy car, while continuing to drag race as often as the busy motor sports schedule allows.
Joe’s show WFO Radio is available four nights a week on WFORadio.com. Each night has a different flavor with Tuesday night focusing on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series. The “live” show streams at 7 pm eastern, Monday – Thursday with replays during the day. The show can be heard using iPhone, iPod, iTunes and at the WFO Radio, On-Demand show archive.

If you're an NHRA Fan, this is a must have app - alone just for the NHRA Tuesday edition. No one in 'motorsports' talk offers this type of programming let alone a great app like this. There's a great mix of Nascar, IndyCar, F1, ALMS and more!
