Description
Do you know what wildlife is in your area? Perhaps you are on a road trip and visiting a state park? What cool things have been seen in the parks around recently?
Knowing what critters have been seen by other wildlife observers allows you (and your kids, or friends) to keep an interested eye out for them.
Parents, use WildObs Lookout to learn about the wildlife around them, and share that with their children. Break your family
out of the nature deficit disorder cycle.
Check out (and comment upon) other wildlife observers encounters from the WildObs community.
WildObs is a partner of the National Wildlife Federation, and contributes wildlife encounters to the NWF Wildlife Watch campaign.
Special Notes: This application uses location services (if available) or requires you to look-up a location. It is dependent upon a network connection. It is an online application, not an offline application (like WildObs Observer.)
A WildObs account is not required for this application however entering one allow full access. Logged in observers can post comments on encounters, and also see encounters for species within their own favorite and wish list species.
Note to all users: The WildObs database of wildlife encounters is NOT yet comprehensive and primarily North America based, however it is growing daily. If you don't find local encounters in your area perhaps use the free iPhone application WildObs Observer to guide people around to the wildlife you see.
For a limited time period this application's price has been lowered to connect more people with nature. Find your nature.
