Update: Alright, I've been playing this game for about a week and a half now, so I wanted to update my review. I don't know where to start as there is so much to say. This app is in another league from the rest. The controls are some of the best of any game available of the iPhone/iPod touch. I like the virtual d-pad the best. While it looks different, it is really just a virtual touchpad, and it works GREAT. I can't imagine better controls. Also, this game loads extremely fast. Most the games I have load slow, even games 1/10 the size. This game loads faster then the native iPhone apps (mail, calendar, etc). Also, this game is huge. There are 6 episodes with multiple levels in each. I believe there are 60 levels in all, and they aren't short levels either. I've been playing everyday since I bought it (day 1 it came out), and I'm only in the middle of episode 2. With as many levels there are, I'm perplexed at how fast the game loads when I open it. However, what I am most shocked at, is even though the game is huge, and it loads so fast, it hasn't cashed once. The games I have that are 1/10 the size crash more than this. Even Safari amd mail crash more than this game. This is the most solid, well put together game in the app store and I applaud and thank the developers. If they keeping making games like this, I will buy every one of them!

Wolfenstein 3D is a classic First person shooter that I played first in 1996 and I loved it! I was so happy to find out it was out for the idevice! It's exactly the way I remember it pretty much except I'm not using a keyboard to move around! The graphics look the which is not a bad thing! Yes, it's a retro game that came out in the 1990's but IMO it was great moving around in FPS seeing the Nazi soldiers, the guards and finding secret rooms again! The speed of the game is very fluid, once you get used to the control scheme you will be kicking Nazi butt like a champ! lol
You get 4 control schemes but #1 I find is very good and also #3 if you don't mind the shoot button up top but now I am preferring #1 control. Strafing is just the way I remember
ID development company used to rule the gaming world with later games like Doom and Quake. They were on top of the world back in the day! They spawned a lot of imitators! When you see a FPS game now, you have Wolfenstein 3D to thank!
This game has loads of secrets, loads of levels, great weapons, choice of difficulty levels and will keep you busy! You can skip right to a specific level and even skip to a secret level once you unlock it.
If you are an older gamer like me, you will want to RUN to buy Wolfenstein 3D and even if you weren't even born back then or was a little boy or girl, I highly recommend this game so you can see what we old timers (haha) were all excited about back in the day! A fun and nostalgic experience. BUY IT!
It's Wolfenstein!!
This game is twice as old ad most if the kids that will inevidably complain about it's already cheap price. It's the original Wolfenstein in it's entirety and it looks amazing. The controls are more intuitive than I ever anticipated any FPS to be for iPhone/iPod touch. This gives me great hope. I suggest changing the control scheme to where the four directional buttons are on the left and the rotational controls are on the right. Don't tap either, let your thumbs slide over each side as a joystick controller. I mean bravo these controlls work so well. I just spent 25 minutes playing the first two (easiest/shortest) of sixty levels. I happily hand my fiver to ID on this one.
