Word Wit is it! This app is addicting and it has expanded my knowledge of the dictionary! We have four kids and use it to test them. worth the $1.99!
Accidentally had fun learning
It doesn't take long to start to see how many words you've been misusing for years. It's really easy to use and I've found it's improved my vocabulary and writing...again, sort of accidentally. I think for my wife, who grew up speaking Mandarin at home, and knows English just fine, she'd really get a lot out of it as English is chock full of strange word usage and rules. A slick, easy way to improve your grasp on English while having fun.
Working great for me
I love, love, love this app. Bugs from the new content update must have gotten fixed because I haven't had any problems. It's true that some words are very basic (prob. for ESL students), but I found several words to be quite challenging (gourmand, abstruse, etc.). I always appreciate a good learning app, the descriptions are great!
