Major Sync Issues
Update:
Two updates later and it seems to be running well. Interface on the iPhone is a bit unwieldy but I like the concept. It doesn't seem to send invites to people who don't have wunderkit but maybe I am doing something wrong.
Not ready. The UI is a mess and syncing seems totally random.
Just awesome. Huge potential.
I am a frequent user of these programs. I have even spent money on similar services that are cloud based an build clients around their API these are all great too but Wunderkit is the first that I actually enjoy using and am not only continuing use because of my excellent satisfaction; I also really like the entire 6WunderKinder team. It seems that they have stumbled into a beautiful protocol that makes the software the service. Their design is top-notch and they give beautiful appreciation to those quirky UI things that allow and orient the user's perception to better interact the product.
Overall they've won me over with this product, it's not just a "me too" like their original product Wunderkit, it's a beautiful and intelligent workspace that allows this beautiful freedom to not worry about managing where the data is, where it's stored, etc… as with all web based products, 6WunderKinder is exploring this wonderful protocol and exploiting its full potential by creating wonderful interfaces built around open technologies.
Not just HTML5 + CSS + JS, just take a look at the Settings app and te WunderKit options to see how many shoulders of giants WunderKit is standing upon using trusted & trialled software frameworks that are freely available.
Wunderkit is absolutely Wonderful.
Definitely in beta land, yet definitely a must download.
I would give it 4/5 but there are just a few too many haters knocking it down.
It's like your reminders, email, twitter, and Facebook had a wild night and the next morning realized was so wrong it was right.
The concept and design is fantastic, and unlike every other subscription free collaboration service out there, you want to use it and you know your team will too.
Functionally it's buggy, make no mistake. If you like being on the front end of massive social tech shifts, welcome aboard. Get a couple semi savy patient friends in on it and have fun.
