Doesn't work with Plex
Well it looks like this is an XBMC only remote. It does not function with the OSX release known as plex, so if you're looking to get control of plex via your iPhone this is not the way for you to go. It seems the problem revolves around Plex changing the default web server user name from XBOX to PLEX in a very very recent release. There goes five books, oh well.
Works Great!
The app works well, I tried using it for controlling 3 XBMC installs in my house; on Xbox, Mac and Linux. It's surprisingly fast. The app allows you to navigate through all your media sources. The wide TV shows view looks awesome! Nice work, hope to see improvements and updates in the future.
@m1ng1st3ch: Whining about the price is not a review. People shouldn't be allowed to review without actually trying the app out. It's nothing like VNC, not even comparable. It's more like iTunes Remote.
Works well with Xbox XBMC as dashboard...
Uses local Wi-Fi connection to remotely control your Xbox media center. Not only does it give control to play media stored locally on your Xbox, but also supports alternate plug-ins such as Apple Movie Trailers, Samba network shares (NAS storage HDD's on your LAN), Media shared on your PC, Itunes shares, UPNP media servers, etc. This is nice as we have all our media on a networked hard drive and just stream to the Xbox. Shows thumbnail artwork for media if you have one configured on your media source. Xbmc instructions will show you how to do this.
This app is handy so you don't need the Xbox controller anymore for media functions. Future update request... Shutdown (power off) Xbox would be nice as it is a feature of XBMC.
