Different and fun!

Takes feeds in a whole new direction. I wouldn't want to us this for my can't miss feeds, but it's great for general surfing.

My thought is that it would be even more interesting as a discovery service as oposed to a subscription service. I already have a simple rss reader that I will probably continue to use. But this app would be great if it had a random mode (already does with default river), but make the default river learn what I'm interested in. So that over time I'll have a custom feed of interesting things.

So close but so very, very, very far

I hate to give this app such a middling review, because I think it's a great idea with awesome potential. But it's totally, completely useless to me as is. In fact if I was basing this on current usability I'd give it only one or two stars.
The problem, and it's a huge one for me, is that the feeds aren't chronological. It's giving me feeds from today, from last week, from July(!). And there's no way to tell when the feed is from without opening it. Also, when you flick to go from one page to the next in the list, it's extremely slow and glitchy. You also can't adjust the speed if the river, which goes faster than I would like.
All in all, I'm hugely impressed with the concept, and hugely dissapointed with the execution. Please improve the app in future updates!!
UPDATE: my bad, you totally can change the speed of the river, and it's super easy. there's no setting to change it but you can just use your finger to speed it up, slow it down, put it in reverse, etc. I still have to say it's useful only to browse, not to see the latest posts on the websites and blogs of your choice. It's completely erratic about what it shows you and I still can't get it to stop listing posts from July, which is driving me nuts.

Great new way to keep up to date and read RSS feeds

I really love this app! I'd been looking for something that would let me consolidate feeds and this lets me input my RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook, and more. The app will show you all your feeds flowing by on a 'river' or you can read them simply in list format. I have one minor complaint about not being able to remove (I tried swiping, tapping, etc. and can't figure it out if the function is actually there) lists of suggested feeds that come pre-programmed, and having to scroll down past them to input or manage your own feeds. This is a minor inconvenience though. This is a really great app right now and I'm looking forward to future updates.
