Biography

Kinston, NC's Brian Hartzog mixes classic rock sounds with the funk of Prince and James Brown. Always the ambitious type, Hartzog started writing his own songs at the age of 14. Benefiting from affordable technology, he played all the instruments and produced his debut CD, 1995's The Smashing of Pictures. Hartzog then turned his attention to the control room to work on his production skills and enlisted some of Charlotte, NC's top musicians for a more "live" feel. Grammy-winning engineer Mark Williams helped out and Hartzog released his second CD, One-Way Ticket, in 2003.
