About Codec Scovill

Philadelphia-based Codec Scovill is composed of Clay Emerson and Ian Pullman (both from the group Loess), as well as Alfredo de Matteis. Codec Scovill's first album, Clinical Imperfections, is a collection of eerie drones that the group recorded on a 4-track in 2000 and 2001. Clinical Imperfections was the inaugural release on the band's own Nonresponse label. In 2002, Codec Scovill also released two limited-edition 3" CDs, Type Coupling and Hugo Ball Effect. ~ Charlie Wilmoth
