Daddy's Cash

About Daddy's Cash

Daddy's Cash is a band from Zakopane, Poland whose lively sound is rooted in blues, soul, and funk. The nine-member band features a horn section and frequently collaborates with other artists. Formed in 2010, Daddy's Cash essentially backed John Lee Hooker, Jr. and recorded That's What the Blues Is All About, with the music composed by all of the involved while Hooker wrote all the lyrics. Released in 2012, the album sold well enough to earn a gold certification from ZPAV (the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry). The same year, the band released Body Blues, a set fronted by Pam Hawkins. A romping blues-rap-pop hybrid, "This Is My Party," was issued in 2014. ~ Andy Kellman
