In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child the entertainment mediums of television and radio captivated him. One of his favorite shows was the popular "Family Matters". Hakeem loved the theme song so much that he would sing and dance to it every time the program aired. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Curtis Mayfield, The Very Best of Curtis Mayfield OutKast, Stankonia (Deluxe Version) Sisqó, Unleash The Dragon This is one of the albums that my cousins and I used to sing along on road trips. We also used to act as if we were in a R&B group and perform them as if we wrote. OutKast’s music had me in a chokehold when I was 11! And Curtis was just that guy! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Vice Versa” This is special because it came from a place of pure pain. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment I’ve had thus far in my career was opening up for Michel’le in New Orleans. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would absolutely love to sit and work in the studio with my favorite producer 9ElevenBeats out in Atlanta.
