Bassist Kato Hideki performed with a number of rock and improvisational outfits -- a founding member of Ground Zero, he led his own band (Bass Army on Trigram), and frequently collaborated with Tenko, Haino Keiji, and Zeena Parkins. Hideki also joined forces with Fred Frith and Ikue Mori in 1995 for the project Death Ambient, which had two releases on the Tzadik label by the end of the 1990s. ~ Jason Ankeny
