About The Plimsouls

After the breakup of legendary short-lived L.A supergroup-in-retrospect the Nerves, singer/guitarist Peter Case formed the Plimsouls, channeling his love of '60s pop and garage rock into a vibrant power-pop sound. Their signature song, “A Million Miles Away,” made some waves, but the band never gained sufficient momentum, and didn't last past the early '80s. Subsequently, Case reinvented himself as a rootsy singer/songwriter, releasing a long string of albums. He eventually got back together with the Plimsouls for a short-lived reunion in 1996.
