The first incarnation of Indian Jewelry formed in the midst of Houston's vibrant experimental rock scene in 2002, undergoing a head-spinning number of name and personnel changes before settling into the core trio of singer and keyboardist Erika Thrasher, guitarist Brandon Davis, and drummer Rodney Rodriguez, plus guests and adjunct members as needed. They made their debut as Indian Jewelry with 2005's SANGLES REDUX, which featured new versions of songs first recorded by the band's earlier incarnations. It was followed quickly by 2006's INVASIVE EXOTICS, while 2008's FREE GOLD! brought the band their widest attention so far. ~ Charity Stafford
