The project of France's Dominique Dalcan, Snooze blends abstract beats and a love of cinematic orchestration into a post-trip-hop, post-jungle collection of atmospheric vignettes. Dalcan is also a multi-instrumentalist and singer as well as producer and composer, having scored French chart hits under his own name as well as Snooze. His debut album as Snooze, The Man in the Shadow, was originally released in 1997 in the U.S. and was reissued the following year. ~ Heather Phares
